Perhaps it is the way a room is felt before it is fully seen. Light, texture, and proportion reveal themselves slowly—quietly shaping the atmosphere.
Our Douiria was imagined by Martine Maes as an intimate extension of the riad. Each room can be reserved individually, offering calm and privacy, or experienced together as a small private house—balancing solitude with the life and hospitality of the riad.
Architecture carries this intention throughout. Glass, textiles, and carefully chosen materials create spaces that feel open yet contained. Light moves freely, shifting through the day, revealing texture, tone, and reflection.
Guided by a philosophy of living with less, every element has purpose. Each room is thoughtfully proportioned for one or two—nothing excessive, nothing missing. Materials remain honest, colours deeply considered, creating a quiet sense of balance.
A deep Bordeaux tone anchors the space, echoing Marrakech’s understated elegance and cultural memory. Here, colour becomes architecture—setting rhythm, mood, and connection.
Once a place of gathering, the Douiria has been reimagined as a more intimate way of living within the riad—refined, calm, and quietly complete.

For those travelling together, it is also possible to experience both the Douiria and the riad as one—creating a more expansive yet still connected way of living within the space.
Set within the medina, the riad remains a place of calm, gently removed from the rhythm of Marrakech while still close to its energy and cultural life. Each room carries its own character, designed to restore and settle, while shared spaces invite moments of pause throughout the day.
